The Descenders Cycling Club of San Diego appreciates the adventure of cycling the remote and challenging roads in San Diego County and the mountains of California. Our Club promotes safe cycling practices, physical achievement, and the social benefits of group cycling. We aspire to ride every weekend and feel privileged to live in a place where we can ride Spring, Summer, Winter and Fall.

Our Mission is to bike as a team on some of the greatest paved roads in our local community and the mountains of the Southwest. We enjoy challenging each other to improve our riding and ourselves, while having fun. We embrace fellowship and professional networking and are courteous, friendly and interdependent. We give back by supporting the local cycling community and various foundations.
We are sustained by the volunteer efforts of our members who display an extraordinary amount of commitment and hard work, ensuring that our club is an asset to the community.
