We had a fun social event at Bernie’s last evening. Thanks again to Bernie and Donna for opening up their lovely home to us. It was an awesome venue with spectacular views all around. The sunset was magnificent. Thanks as well to Geoff B for bringing some of his great hand-crafted brews. John M also brought a few stout beers that Hodges liked very much.

The food was provided by a local catering company called Baja Cuisine. A very nice father-son team prepared good tacos for us to enjoy with our brews. Tina Guidotti made some excellent cheese cake desserts that Claus would still be eating if there were any left. Bernie provided even more delicious treats.

We all relaxed in Bernie’s back yard, some folks went for a refreshing dip, and everyone enjoyed a perfect San Diego sunset. It was fun to meet more wife’s/spouses of the Descenders and to relax together not trying to hold a paceline, out of breath and looking for a wheel to grab. Lots of good laughs throughout the evening, many at the expense of Hodges if my memory is correct.
