The combo group ride with the Descenders and Ranchos was a great success.  Dave Voris and Lee Schwarz coordinated the groups and planned the routes.  Bob Proulx and I met up near Santaluz early to ride over to the start as we both had to get home early. A large groups of riders from both riding clubs met at the mall by Lake Hodges early yesterday.  The Descenders group included Voris, Guido, Rick, Hodges, Claus, Garet, Yi-Shiou, Eileen, Bob R, Neil, Matt, Larry, Bob P and me.  There were at least twice that many Ranchos, so about 40 riders total.  Voris and Lee gave some route instructions and we were off towards Mary Lane.  The early miles were fast as we headed over to Citrus.  At Bear Valley Bob P and I peeled south and reversed our track back over Lake Hodges to home–about 38 miles.

The main group climbed up Lake Wohlford and sped across Woods Valley.  I saw many a PR on that segment.  The group then rode up Lilac and went to Couser & Rice Canyons with a return back down Old 395.  I saw 67 mile routes with a number of guys riding much farther.  Looked like a great ride by all.
