Bay Area Descenders Ride

Jim and I went up to Bay Area for an experiment at the X-ray Free Electron Laser at Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, or SLAC.
We brought our bikes but it was raining almost non-stop. Except for the last day of our experiment the rain finally stopped and we could get out for a quick ride in the morning. 31 miles on still damp roads (covered with a lot of branches from the storm and wind) – we climbed up Page Mill Road up to Skyline Blvd and down Old La Honda – legendary roads in Bay Area. We made it back to the lab before breakfast, excellent ride to salvage a rainy week. Great views – see photos attached. You should have come! 🙂
